The PN Sol - the situation
Before getting into all that has been doing there in the form of handling, etc.., Let me explain the story. At the same time I want to make clear that although I have been writing letters to the Ministry of Environment, in Malaga and Seville, I do not claim or want to claim that I have done everything. The part that I've played has been to use my reputation and 60 years of experience (good or bad, I let you judge) to press. I have always acted as a private citizen who no negative impact falls on SEO-Málaga, whose partners have more than enough at hand (eg. The battle of Lake Herrera). Also, several people, some of the SEO, some foreign residents have asked me something I do not know they were expecting, but it is for my blood pressure up dust or a little common sense has come in, do not know. But finally something has happened and is an improvement by handling events this fall and winter lately.

But a little ride back in time. Last February I wrote a letter about six pages to the then provincial director, a woman who answered-even the famous' silence administrativo'. In September, a new provincial director, wrote again, making it clear that no answer was, in my opinion, a good example of very bad manners. This copied to Seville, together with a copy of my original letter which had identified and provided solutions because it is very easy to criticize but be constructivio at once, something difficult in these times of hardship and unemployment. I had always made it clear that (a) estuva apolitoco and (b) inviolucrar did not want the press because, to use an English expression: do not know the difference between ass and elbow and often misrepresent things. Again, no response and on Christmas day I decided to put the cards in this blog, and if no reply before January 1, post.

You can imagine my surprise, just 4 days before the end of the year, when I received a letter from the Environment in Malaga, together with a note from the CEO, Ms. Rocio Espinosa de la Torre. The important part was D. Miguel Angel Martin Casillas Head of Protected Natural Areas. I called Mr. Martin to give my thanks for responding so widely, and perhaps better, make contact on a personal level, it is always better if both sides are reasonable.

Mr. Martin, in the letter and conversation, I was very pleasantly impressed, and this morning (13/02) we have stayed in the Guadalhorce in the not too distant. Has also given me permission to summarize the major points of his letter in response to my points so long.

DOGS: There has always been the problem of stray dogs, sometimes raised, and the two methods of removing them from the reservation. He explained the problems, and without going into detail, just say that I agree but that the trial should be faster, especially during the breeding season it is almost above us. I am in favor of strong performances, (a) catch if possible, even (b) bring down animals and (c) if they have a chip and has not reported its loss, fine owners with an amount not to forget . The same goes for stray dogs with their owners present, and this week if you assembled these signs, I do not know how many there are. I have it clear that we must act tough, but I must also say that there are dog owners who are always tied alllí with their dogs. Obviously you can not kill neither dogs nor their owners in situ, it would be my wish, but some reservations in the U.S. kill dogs in situ.

CYCLISTS: Another point I made quite Hincapie was the cyclists, especially after an idiot ran over my tripod and telescope, the joke cost me almost 400 euros to repair the telescope and a new tripod another 280 euros. Mr. Martin spoke about the placement of guardrails on the sides of the observatories, and these are in place for some time, and an orange for semi-blind. Also this past week it has placed these signs for cyclists. Can not be clearer: you, Mr. Martin

CONSERVATION WORK: These are obvious and I and some friends, I see them as very timely. In fact, in my blog?? I spoke and showed photos of the cleaning process in the breeding of Kentish Plover along the beach inside the fence. Also some other areas with abundant vegetation have received a good 'haircut' and we are confident that it will see an increase in appointments several species / families during migration times.
In this section I mentioned the need for volunteers, and this is already in action with Paco Rivera and his group, all out of pure goodwill and the benefit of the site. Those who want to help please with Paco - bosquesyriveras (at) hotmail.com - who also sent me these two photos.

GUARD: We all know the economic situation of the country and cuts, and we must be patient and wait for better times. I have a comment about this than I do to Mr. Martin if I can see it on Friday (serious family problems and do not see it, I will write and inform you on time).

There are other things I want to discuss with Mr. Martin, as we see who we can contact if serious offenses, because a correspondent informed me that not many weeks ago saw something called Seprona and were not interested, and I said in my original letter I same on the local police in Malaga.

But encouragement, friends, at least we on the right track.
